Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Madar (“we”, “us”) handles personal and workspace data when you visit madar.om or use the Madar product.

1. Who we are

Madar is an AI marketing workspace. It helps brands manage a Brand Profile, generate social and SEO plans, create content, manage credits, and optionally publish a hosted site on a workspace subdomain.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — name, email, password (hashed), and authentication session details.
  • Workspace data — workspace name/slug, membership, Brand Profile (logo, colors, voice, about text, industry), plans, generated content, site pages, and credit ledger history.
  • Usage data — product actions, AI job runs, credit debits/grants, and approximate timestamps needed to operate and secure the service.
  • Website visit data — on the public Madar marketing site we may store landing path, referrer, UTM parameters, IP address, and user agent for analytics and abuse prevention.
  • Support messages — if you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we keep what you send so we can help.

3. How we use data

  • Provide, secure, and improve the Madar product and marketing site.
  • Authenticate users, isolate tenant workspaces, and enforce permissions.
  • Run AI generation for plans, articles, creatives, and hosted-site content using your BrandKit and prompts.
  • Track credit balance through an immutable ledger.
  • Publish hosted sites and blog posts you choose to make public on your workspace host.
  • Respond to support requests and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data.

4. AI processing

When you trigger billable AI features, relevant BrandKit fields and your prompts/content are sent to model providers (for example via OpenRouter) solely to fulfill that request. Model providers process data under their own terms and safeguards. Do not submit secrets or third-party personal data you are not allowed to process.

5. Hosted sites and public content

If a workspace uses hosted mode, pages and blog posts you publish become publicly reachable on that workspace’s subdomain. You are responsible for the lawfulness of that content and for any personal data you choose to display there.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies/local storage for login sessions and product function. The marketing site may load optional analytics or advertising tags (such as Meta Pixel or Google Tag Manager) when configured by Madar administrators. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Sharing

We share data only with:

  • Infrastructure and email providers that host or deliver the service.
  • AI model providers when you run a generation request.
  • Authorities when required by law.

Workspace members you invite can access that workspace’s content according to their role. Madar platform admins may access workspaces for support, billing oversight, abuse response, and platform operations.

8. Retention

We keep account and workspace data while the workspace is active. After deletion or a successful account/workspace removal request, we delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period unless longer retention is required for security, dispute resolution, or law. Credit ledger rows are kept as an audit trail.

9. Security

We apply access controls, encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, workspace isolation, and sanitization of hosted-site HTML/CSS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and protect your login.

10. Your choices

  • Access or update profile and Brand Profile data inside the product.
  • Export or copy content you generated where the product allows it.
  • Request deletion of your account or workspace by contacting us.
  • Object to non-essential marketing analytics where applicable.

11. Children

Madar is built for business users. It is not directed to children under 18.

12. International processing

Madar and its providers may process data in Oman and other countries where infrastructure or AI providers operate. We take steps appropriate to the service model to protect that data.

13. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Material changes may also be noted in the product or by email when appropriate.
